88th ANNUAL CHERRY GROWERS’ MEETING

SATURDAY, APRIL 11, 2026

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: DR. MATTHEW WHITING, Professor, Department of Horticulture WSU, Tree Fruit Horticulture, and BERNARDITA SALLATO, Tree Fruit Specialist, WSU Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center. We are pleased to bring back these world-renowned cherry researchers to share their latest findings!

Topics will include:

GA: A review of its effects in sweet cherries and best application practices. Dormancy, cold hardiness, and new tools for reducing cold damage.

Revisiting the importance of proper irrigation practices for sweet cherry fruit quality. Assessing the relationship between sweet cherry nutrient content and fruit quality.

Steve Glutting will present information on Mason Bees for Orchard Pollination. He has researched Mason Bees in local cherry orchards, and will discuss Mason Bee husbandry and promotion, and building a cocoon inventory.

THE DAY INCLUDES:

• Additional speakers with information and announcements of interest to local cherry growers.
• Visiting with agencies that work with growers and seasonal workers.
• Enjoying time to network with experienced Flathead cherry growers.
• A delicious and hearty lunch catered once again by Emily of Woods Bay Wine.

Fee includes morning refreshments and lunch.
$30.00 per person if preregistered by APRIL 1, 2026.
$35.00 per person for last-minute registration at the door.
